Any Mac techies out there?

If you know your Mac's and can help someone out in Thurso area then they'd be most grateful.

They think they've lost somewhere in the region of 3000 photographs on their MacBook - the explanation was that they were compacting ready for printing when all of a sudden it says the photos are no longer there.

I know less than nothing about Apples (other than the edible type) so if anyone who really feels they can help could contact them, please do so directly on 07912 145861.

They won't be picking the laptop back up until tomorrow morning so if you could leave it until the afternoon that would be best.

I take it they are not using Leopard and have an external drive, that would be too easy. (Time Machine)

Sounds obvious, but have you tried typing in the extension you are looking for into Spotlight (magnifying glass at top right of screen), if they are on the Mac that should find them.
