    Default Another disobedient mouse

Not the same problem or easy fix.

The mouse on my laptop has a life of its own, at times I have no control over it at all, the only thing that seems to work is shutting down completely then it works for a while.

It seems to be happening more often, the lap top is nearly 3 yr old, is the poor mouse pad just getting owld or is it a bid for freedom.
Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing. But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Try reloading the mousepad drivers (either from disc you got with it or from manufacturers website) if that doesn't work then likely need a replacement again from manufacturer. Could always use a USB mouse insteads as in my experience all mousepads suck!
