Question Photo identification - persons 1957-58ish

Please can anybody identify this chap for me. I believe he was talking to the captain of the Primula, but I'm not sure where I got that bit of info from.

and these chaps in the Dounreay Diffuser Chamber.

I would be very grateful for any information on these photos.

    Thanks very much.

    Default Please Mr Moderator...

Please could a moderator move this post to the 'General' section as I am not getting any feedback here. There must be someone who knows these people, unless they were visitors/inspectors from outside the area.

    Thank you

    Question

Hello Folks, Sorry to bring this back up, but I'm getting no replies at all.

If anyone has elderly relatives who used to work at Dounreay, maybe for UKAEA or Whatlings back in about 1955 to 1959, please could you show them these photos and see if they know the people or the work. I would be really interested to hear. This is a bit of the local history that is going to be lost otherwise. These people deserve recognition.

If anybody has old photos of the Dounreay tunnel and diffuser, maybe in private photo collections, I would be very pleased to hear about them.

Thank you for any help that you can give.

Question OK, these are the last ones with people in.....

Hello everyone out there who has probably an older relative who worked at Dounreay in the early days.

These two photos are new to me. Does anyone have photos of the shaft/diffuser/tunnel in their private photo collections that they are willing to share?

Does anyone recognise these people? You may need to zoom in. These photos are dated March 1957. Someones father or granddad may know, or even be in the photos. Any information would be appreciated.

The tunnel, working underground you needed a raincoat.

Please, please, please, I need some help here. Please print these photos and show them to your older relatives who worked for UKAEA and Whatlings - they may know who it is. They may even be in the photo. I don't have any more Shaft/Tunnel/Diffuser people photos, so this is it - the information and memories end here..... unless you can help.

    Thank you.

You can contact me here or through the Dounreay.com office in Thurso with any information or photos. Anonymous photos would be fine, even with no additional information - better something than nothing at all.
