Default Virtual Server / VMWare / Other Virtualisation Software

Any techies out there had any experience with MS Virtual Server 2005 RS, VMWare Server 2(beta) or MS Windows Server 2008 Virtualisation(RC).

I am about to build a VM Infrastructure and I am having trouble deciding on which VM Software to use. I know 2 of the above are still in beta testing, however I am still willing to test these out if they are showing promise. I have played around with MS Virtual Server and VMWare, but want to know others thoughts..

I would highly recommend having a look at innotek VirtualBox, its open source, runs on Windows, Linux and offers a lot of flexability.

I have used it quite a bit recently, and have not had any issues.

Hi Seanyt..I did look at virtualbox, but I think it is much along the same lines as Microsoft virtual PC..well actually seems better than virtual pc...

It looks like I am going to use vmware, so I can control which server boots up first and give different priorities to various applications etc.
