    Thanks Chobbers, not sure what pre delay is. Should I layer the vocal on again and ad very minimal delay to it then adjust the volume to see what that is like?

    you could do that. Pre-delay or del on your verb picture is the time it takes for the verb/ambience to kick in. So giving it a pre-delay gives it a sense of being in a room.
