Hello! I can't begin to tell you how shocked and amazed I was when I saw your posting. I was just fooling around when I came across the Caithness.org site, and it must have been sheer luck that I found your posting. I am a descendant of Margaret Sutherland and Alexander Oag by way of their daughter Ann(e). She married George Downie and had a daughter Margaret. Margaret married Joseph Anderson and had a daughter Jessie (my grandmother). Jessie married Randall Fairfoull and subsequently had a daughter Elizabeth (my mother). And here I am! I can give you any information you need (birth, death, and marriage dates) for any or all of the people I have if you so desire. I must admit I'm not very good at sorting it all out on the computer, so I could mail you paper copies if that would be acceptable. While we're at it, would it be possible to get your Oag information in a different format? (ie: each family separated with father, mother and children) I'm just doing this as a hobby and don't fully understand the format you have posted here.

Thank you for your assistance...I am absolutely astounded that I found your posting and can make some progress with my research. I seem to hit dead ends and lose interest, and it takes a while to get back into it. This has undoubtedly rekindled my interest!!!

I am not a direct descendant of the above but Alexander is my 3rd great uncle so I thought I would say hello.

I have millions of Oags and I have quite a few of your Oags on tree.

My mothers great grandparents are Anne Oag married to William Miller and I have done the family tree for her. She still alive living with me in Australia. Someone kindly sent me a photo of their grave yesterday so I am getting some info from Scotland. Every little bit helps.
