    1lb caster sugar
    1/2lb butter
    tin of condensed milk
    few drops vanilla essence
    heavy based pan

    1- melt butter and sugar over a low heat

    2-remove from heat and add the condensed milk,put back on heat stir all the time boil for 10 mins

    3-turn heat down simmer for another 10 mins stirring all the time { should turn a golden brown colour and thick}

    4-remove from heat and add the vanilla essence

    5-pour into a greaseproof paper lined tin
