    Sad to read of the death of Tommy Makem, a favourite Folk muscian of my younger days he and the Clancys gave me much pleasure in the 50's & 60's

    That is sad news Golach. I too was very fond of Tommy Makem.
    What a voice !! So natural and from the heart.

    I must look out my old tapes and CDs.....
    He will be sadly missed.

    I was very sorry to read that Tommy Makeham has died.

    I once had the pleasure of being in his company along with the Furey's and the Clancy Brothers after attending a fantastic concert.

    What a night that was - we'd only gone to try for an autograph and a few of us were invited up to the artist's bar - we were thrilled to bits!
