Default Question for technically type people

I have a sort of dodgy lead and i measured it with an ohm meter and it says about 7ohms. Is it fit for the bin basically?

Very few leads are ever fit for the bin. Unless it has a moulded plug it can usually be fixed.
In the image of God? You must be joking!

Yeah, a lead reading 7 ohms between tip-tip or sleeve-sleeve is goosed as far as leads go.

As Gleber says, if you can unscrew/pull the plugs apart then it can most likely be resoldered.

usually lad your guitar lead reads about 1k ohm if i remember correctly you either have a dry joint or your plugs are goosed
