Chef De Partie/ Junior Sous Chef


Weare currently looking to recruit a Chef de partie or a junior souschef to join our busy kitchen team on a full time basis.


Reportingto the Head Chef and senior sous chef your key roles will be to:

  • Assist in the day to day running of the kitchen & it's team, ensuring that every dish is prepared, cooked and presented impeccably each time.


  • To prepare food from daily changing specials menus.


  • Preparation, production, and service of food to the standard required in a timely and efficient manner.


  • Practice and promote effective teamwork and communication amongst your direct work colleagues and colleagues in other departments


  • Ensure compliance with in house HACCP and food hygiene, health, and safety systems to ensure compliance.


  • Completing duties with an attitude of always striving to exceed standards to promote improvements and raise the quality of feedback from all guests.


  • To maintain the day-to-day operational standards of the kitchen

Asa candidate we expect from you;

  • At least 1 year in a CDP role or 3 years commis chef role in a similar venue or recently qualified at level 2 or 3 in Professional Cookery


  • Passionate about food, flavours, seasonality & provenance
  • Good timekeeping and flexibility with respect to the hours you can work

ThePark Hotel is a well renowned restaurant within Thurso, providinggreat quality meals yearround.Whethersomething simple like fish and chips, or that little bit more specialdish, weaim forevery customer to have a positive experience when dining or stayingwith us.Serving upwards of 100 covers per day thisis a fast paced work environment but also a very rewarding one.



HourlyRate of £14 - £16 per hour, or salary of £28k+ dependant onexperience. Expectation of £2.5K at least in tips per year on top.
