So far the Alba Party have had little electoral success, but have some representation due to defections. I am not an expert in politics, but as far as I can see, if they were to stand at the next UK general election, given past performance they would be unlikely to win any seats but they could take support from the SNP leading to the SNP losing seats to parties opposed to Scottish independence such Labour, Liberal Democrat and Conservatives. Would any independence supporters think that this would be a worthwhile outcome?
