Default Boot Sector of Disk c:

When I run avg on a laptop it keeps coming up saying problem with Boot Sector of Disk c: and the laptop has a mind of it's own about when it will decide to turn or not. More often not. Does anyone know how to fix this please?

Making the rash assumption that you use windows XP:

    Boot from Windows XP CD
When prompted select R for recovery console
    type fixmbr

Should then be able to boot without problem
