Thread: EU/Brexit….

  1. #1

    Default EU/Brexit….

Today it is reported that The Netherlands is seeking to close 3,000 farms, by threatening farmers with compulsory ‘buyouts’, if they refuse ‘voluntary’ offers, to comply with The EU Climate Rules!
    Reason…Nitrogen emitting farms.
The Netherlands is the Second largest food exporter in the World!
This is somewhat like that which occurred in Sri Lanka, which nearly destroyed the Country!

Is Scotland now happy about ‘something’?

By the time Scotland gets to re-join the EU (if ever), there won't be many farms left for any government to buy, they'll all be covered in new trees allowing companies to claim their 'green credentials' and landowners to claim decent grants. Who needs food when you've got trees to look at.

Here we go again. It's "Put Scotland Down" time again, folks. Never an opportunity (imagined (mostly imagined) or real) missed. Even threads which are about other countries are hijacked to allow the knife to be stuck in. Never anything positive to say. Always looking for an angle to do down this wonderful wee country.

Corky, you really are a glass half empty chap! I really thought you'd be on here today shouting from the rooftops that an opinion poll shows a majority now support indy! Come on don't disappoint me!

My concern here is that they are talking about ‘sensitive’ lands, and mentioned saving the Flow Country, which is Bog!
And guess what……..several thousand square miles of the North of Scotland is Bog!
So is it their proposal to put every farm there out of business. One cannot imagine, but then we have to ‘save the World’.
Just read what occurred in Sri Lanka………
