Sorry, most of the pictures of people i have no idea who they are,
the School Pictures i think is possibly Bilbster or Sibster schools.

Anyway, that's all i have for now.

Your photos were well worth the wait. Some fantastic old ones of Wick and the countryside. Well done!

For anyone that's interested in the 1937 Bilbster school picture,
here are some names i found on another similar picture.

Back Row ~ James Wares, Sandy Munro, John Swanson, Ian Allan, Harry Taylor, James Henderson, Ian Banks, Neil Miller, James Sutherland, Sandy Henderson, Jimmy Sinclair, Sandy Miller.
3rd Row ~ Rex Watt, Kinser MacDonald, Joyce Banks, Betty Sutherland, Ella Munro, Bertha Geddes, Katie Watt, Ellen Munro, Bella Wares, ( ? ), Elsie Henderson, Donny Munro, Peter Macdonald.
2nd Row ~ Isa Miller, Bettie Lockie, Margaret Miller, Nellie Lockie, Effie Munro, Bunty Bruce, ( ? ), Anne Cumming.
Front Row ~ Jack Adams, Andrew Cumming, David Taylor, ( ? Banks ), Ken Swanson, Magnus Swanson, Ian Angus

Sandy Munro back row (my uncle)
Ellen Munro third row (my Aunt)
Effie Munro second row (my Mother)

Now that could keep a few guessing.

    Default Wick Photos

They all appear to be coming through now - many thanks.
What wonderful pictures. I think Torvaig is right about Bill Mowat, Lybster and Draper shop in Wick. His wife was Aileen Mowat who started the Wick Arion Choir. A daughter I think an actress ?

    Many thanks,
    Trinkie

I wonder if this was anything to do with the Stirkoke rifle club as the man with the bonnet behind Bill Mowat looks awfully like my uncle - Willie Steven. Does anybody think that the man in the middle front with the dark jacket may look a bit like George Dunnet? Maybe this man is his father.

    I love these photos.

All these pictures are great. I love browsing them, and the ones of Thurso. They give a real sense of what Caithness is all about - community. Keep posting them.
