    Very many thanks.

I love the 'Elsie Budge' one - I knew the family, Elsie and her father lived in Bexley Terrace- overlooking the bay.
    It's such an atmospheric picture.

I must look out for that book, it's quite a treasure.

    Best wishes,
    Trinkie

Delighted to see the advert for John Black & Sons. Their Caithness Homespun blankets for warmth, WEIGHT & wear takes me back. I was brought up in Golspie in the late 50's early 60's and the memories of being 'pinned' to the bed by these monsters is still as clear to me today. Oh but we were happy.

Default ......or could she be mine?

This lady resembles my grandma, who was Catherine McLeod nee Sutherland and latterly lived at 44 Henrietta Strret, Wick. I could be mistaken, of course and would welcome any clarification you can provide.

    Hi Trinkie,
Gut cowgies or tubs in front, tubs behind were for sorting the herring into the sizes.

    Hi

Does anyone have a photo of Kennedy Terrace that was taken in the 1940's or there abouts?
