    Question Recommendation Needed

    Hello,
Can anyone recommend some traditional local or highland music CD's I can either find out here or buy over the net. I want some mood music to help with my writing and hope someone can steer me in the right direction.
    Thanks

I would recommend the CD by emptyhouse called Gone but not forgotten. It's bound to put you in the mood for doing some work on your book, Lolabelle. Read about them and order online here :- http://www.seumasb.com/locals.asp

Thank you, I went to see an author on Tues and she recommended using music to get you in the "Headspace" of your story. I want to give it a go, but really feel that I should use tradition scottish folk type of music for the "right feel"
Thanks for your link, will get straight onto it.

    Thumbs up From a Newbie

Hi there, I've just joined up and I'm able to post here now. I can't recommend Footstompin' highly enough for a vast selection of Scots Trad Music and a fantastic mail order service.

Hope it's not too late for you.

    Smile fiddle......

I personally love Alisdair Fraser - amazing, haunting fiddle playing and up-beat stuff too.

    Thanks for the welcome Moira.
Aye Elaine, he's some player. There's a wonderful variety of fiddlers on the go at the moment, of very different styles, ages, nationalities etc, and up there with the best of them is Caithness man Gordon Gunn from Wick.
Culburnie is now part of Greentrax Records which is another amazing source of Scots Trad Music & Song.
