    Question SD card question?

I'm looking for a new SD card for digital camera have seen on but it says this

N.B. An SD Card will NOT normally function in a MultiMediaCard socket.

    What does this mean?

Sounds a bit silly. If your camera takes a Secure Digital (SD) card then you need to purchase one but if it takes a MultiMedia (MMC) card then you need one of them. Cheaper in Tesco the last I looked.

The SD and MMC cards are very similar to look at. I know that most card readers use the same slot for either type, so I think this is just a safety clause to keep them, and potentially you, out of trouble.
