Allans of Gillock Ltd are currently recruiting for the Watten branch which comprises of a Garden Centre which includes the servicing and repair of garden machinery and Petrol Station. This exciting opportunity would suit an individual who is hardworking, experienced, enthusiastic and can effectively and efficiently manage and lead the business in order to maximise sales and profit whilst minimising costs, leading a team dedicated to providing an efficient service in a well-established local family business.

The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, the ability to motivate a team, and be commercially minded with a passion for retail and a drive and determination to develop the business.

Main duties will include but are not restricted to:


  • Taking full responsibility for all daily operations, ordering stock and controlling stock levels effectively.
  • Manage the merchandising, pricing and display of goods whilst maintaining the highest standards.
  • Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate cover at all times to maintain a high level of customer sales and service.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to and implemented consistently by staff.
  • Fulfill all till operations, cash handling and banking procedures according to the company requirements.


Experience in this sector would be an advantage, however retail management experience would be essential to the role.
