    We are just a principality! Says it all really.

    You have too much time on your hands. I've got a funny clip of Al Murry (the pub landlord) expressing the English view of independance. Has some swearing in it so not sure I can put a link on here......I'll read the site rules if not just google it, worth watching for a laugh....and we could all do with a break from the boring politics as it's nearly Christmas.

    I watched it the other day. I admit to laughing (a bit). I must say though I always preferred his Grandpa, Chic.

    I think I should also acknowledge the occasion. I agree with something you said (there is a first time for everything!!) :- "we could all do with a break from the boring politics as it's nearly Christmas." . It's nearly over now thank goodness.

    It's not just the Tories who have no respect for Scotland. They are the worst but MP's from all parties treat Scotland as an irrelevance.

    Even wee Jimmy Krankie, she also views anything north of Perth as an irrelevance.

    Of course the Lib Dems think the Highlands are so relevant they couldn't even get the name of the constituency right. Click to enlarge image.

    I'm sure the Lib Dems also got a court injunction to stop the SNP distributing a leaflet that contained lies, I would rather a leaflet with a few spelling errors, rather than one containing lies. https://www.express.co.uk/showbiz/tv...crats-fracking

    Well, this thread is essentially about respect. I hadn't heard about that SNP leaflet story and if it's true then it is an almighty b**ls-up. No point in denying it.

    However, that Lib Dems leaflet defies belief. How could the candidate, and constituency workers not have spotted that at the proof-reading stage. It's not a good look when you make errors like that. Faire enuff wee awl make spelling errors but that's a cracker.

    Oh come on! The Lib Dems have been the worst offenders by far in that respect. Everything from dodgy graphs to fake newspapers to letters from so-called polling experts. Their campaign has been absolutely blighted by complaints of that sort. Also, if I remember the court judgement on the Swinson case it was made clear that there was nothing factually inaccurate in the SNP leaflet.

    Thats right. And then there were the leaflets that were ordered to be destroyed by the Permanent Secretary because they breached election rules;

    https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/s...yers-270scr36d

    Thats an awful lot of leaflets that are for no use.

    Some with more far-reaching consequences than others unfortunately.

    Wait a minute! I'm prepared to bet that the party from whom you have had the most leaflets during this campaign is the LDs. Quite apart from it destroying their green credentials it might also be worth a long hard look at their election expenses for this constituency.

    Could it be, by any chance, that you are only so vehement against the Lib Dems because we have a sitting Lib Dem MP here and you are worried that your preferred candidate won't succeed in ousting him?
