Here's an interesting table (click on it to enlarge it). It compares the per head contribution, to overall UK tax receipts, of the Scottish population compared to that of the rUK. The last two columns, in particular, are interesting; especially those showing data since 2006. They reveal that for 12 out of the last 13 years the Scottish population has contributed more per head to UK tax receipts than the population of rUK has. Next time someone tells you that we in Scotland get more spent on us per head of population and that we are just subsidy junkies who couldn't possibly survive on our own point them to this. Any additional spending we may, or may not get, has been paid for by us, in advance.
