PPP Homelink Health Co-ordinators/Support Workers

Due to expansion of our services and in order to increase our caseload capacity, PPP’s Homelink department are seeking to recruit additional Health Co-ordinators/Support workers to join our well established team in order to meet demand in the local community. We have part-time or full time positions available.

If you are interested in helping to teach independent life skills to service users to allow them to manage their tenancy, teach them skills such as budgeting, healthy lifestyle, cooking, decorating and making their house a home so they can maintain their tenancy without support, this role could be perfect for you!

Applicants must have the ability to engage with people, be enthusiastic and make their clients feel valued, respected and empowered. Candidates will also participate in multi-agency work, working alongside the housing sector, Women’s Aid, social workers, health visitors, North Highland College staff, Job Centre Plus, and other identified agencies to provide a holistic approach to your client’s needs. Successful candidates will be part of a multi team consisting of housing support and care at home and on occasion, you may have to help cover with care at home clients.

Applicants should be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team, delivering a high standard of care. Candidates should be computer literate and able to manage their own paperwork system.

Candidates with either one year or more support experience or those with their SVQ Health and Social Care Level 3 would be desirable for this role, we would also support the right candidate to complete their qualification. We are looking for candidates with ‘real life’ experiences who want to work within their community and who can support others and we will support them to gain the qualifications. Candidates must meet the SSSC standards and be deemed a ‘fit and proper’ person to deliver support, all staff must register with SSSC. They must also have a valid driving licence, daily access to a car and business insurance cover.

This post is primarily Monday to Friday with occasional evening/weekend work depending upon client workload and demand.
