A post has arisen for a General Worker with Scrabster Harbour Trust, who will be required to work permanent back and night shift duties (including some weekends) on a 24 hour rota pattern.

The post holder shall assist in the general operational and maintenance requirements of the port.

The role calls for good communication skills and the ability to become a flexible member of a dedicated team. Knowledge of fishing vessels and berthing operations would be an advantage although not essential. Possession of a full, clean driving licence is required.

Establishing and maintaining effective working relations with a broad range of shore/seaborne personnel and organisations linked to the harbour and its development will be important.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake further training in the following areas: a National Vocational Qualification in Port Operations, Health & Safety, Port Security, Plant and Equipment.
