    hugh sutherland born 1813c married johanna dallas born 1821 from the latheron area they had a son thomas sutherland born 1863 and he married a robina dewer there could have been more children i dont know.

    sorry, my mistake. Robina was my great granny, yes she is dead. Her daughter Robina is 101 and still living

    My daughters name is also Johan, after my granny who came from Bettyhill. It is the gaelic name for Joanne, and originated in sutherland where it was very popular, and still is.
