LET'S GET CAITHNESS ON THE MAP
We would like to encourage all custodians/owners to register their AEDs with Community Heartbeat Trust to ensure that our residents and visitors to the county can see where all the Defibrillators are in Caithness and the rest of the UK.
John Macleod Senior HSE Adviser at Subsea 7 has registered their two devices with the Community Heartbeat Trust and kindly gave us this comment about his experience.
“The Community Heartbeat Trust(CHT) is a great Trust and is worthwhile registering with them, I don’t see any reason why any Owner/Custodian of a defibrillator wouldn’t do so. The benefits of registering are that the residents of Caithness will be able to access the CHT National Defibrillator Database to see where all the defibrillators are in the county and the rest of the country. Also the Owners/Custodians will get regular automatic reminders to carry out vital checks and reminders when pads and batteries are due for replacement”.
