An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Community Staff Nurse to work within the West Caithness Community Nursing Team, based in Thurso Community Health Centre delivering nursing care within patients’ home environments. The role involves clinical skills being delivered in the community setting and you must be able to demonstrate continued personal development. You will have good communication, time management and organisational skills. You will need to have the ability to work alone and on your own initiative, but still be a team player. You must be adaptable, self-motivated and able to respond to the challenges that this role will provide.

Relevant experience working within a community environment would advantageous, further training in specific areas of clinical nursing care and skills will be made available.

This is a part-time post of 22.5 hours per week covering a 7-day rota, including weekends, with an out-of-hours on-call commitment for terminally ill patients, requiring end of life care. A current driving licence is also essential for this post and you will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations to meet the operational requirements of the service.
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
