Senior Administrator - Commercial

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of the post is to provide senior administrative support to the Commercial Services team. Primarily this role will be for the co-ordination, completion and verification of commercial reports and information requests. There will be a requirement to update documentation templates and government commercial portals. Engaging with suppliers regarding review dates, market engagement events, etc.

The Job Holder will be:-

The Job Holder will ensure that administrative requirements are understood and delivered to quality standard within agreed timescales.

Provide U4BW/Database/IT Superuser level of knowledge and understanding of systems
Provide standard and bespoke reports
Provide ownership, control and tracking of processes specific to area
Provide initial analysis of data through local reporting process
Provide collation, co-ordination, verification and control of documentation and data to meet department delivery requirements
Contribute to development and testing of storage/tracking/reporting systems
Provide end users with training and advice on process and reporting outcomes
Provide solutions to administration problems
Keep all data secure and control transmission through company standard procedures
Provide general administration function including typing, filing, photocopying, scanning, arranging meetings, distribution of documents, answering telephone queries, archiving

The Job Holder may:

Take minutes at meetings
Make decisions on behalf of managers within delegated authority (e.g. diary management, meeting attendance, re-direction of actions)
Perform the responsibilities of management appointments relevant to post

Desirable Experience:-

2 years administration experience, ideally with a numeracy background
Ability to organise and prioritise own work
Good level of IT skills with a working knowledge of databases and associated software packages specifically excel
Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines whilst maintaining quality of output
Good oral & written communication skills
A team player with the ability to work on own initiative and with minimal supervision
Ability to routinely interact effectively with staff at various levels across the organisation as well as external customers
Confidentiality and discretion is essential

Qualifications:-

Higher Grade level of education

Terms and Conditions

Full Time Monday-Friday 37.9 hours per week
Temporary 12 month contract
Rate 12.90 per hour PAYE
Overtime rates apply as standard
28 Days Holidays
