Lochshell Engineering area fabrication company based in Wick. We work across Scotland undertakingcivils, structural and marine works. We currently have the following temporaryvacancies available:

AutoCAD Technician
AutoCAD Technician with previous mechanical, fabrication and civil experience required. Will be responsible for production of new and development of existing drawings in accordance with both company and client requirements. Ensure that all designs are prepared in line with current health and safety legislation. Must have efficient use of AutoCAD to produce accurate 3D models, 2D drawings and schedules to a high quality and in line with project requirements. Applicants must be able to work accurately and methodically under pressure to meet deadlines. Must be able to work alone or as part of a team. A positive and proactive “can do” attitude, strong communication skills, great organisational skills and problem-solving skills are a must.

Civils/Mechanical Foreman
Civils/Mechanical Foreman required who has previous experience working in a similar position, managing a team and working to tight deadlines. The right applicant will have good communication, leadership and organisational skills as they will be expected to take the lead in organising a team and finishing projects to a high standard. CSCS card required. SSSTS/SMSTS desirable. Must have an understanding of current health and safety regulations to ensure that all health and safety practices and procedures are followed appropriately. Must be completely comfortable reading from drawings. Will be responsible for ensuring work runs smoothly day in day out. The right application must be willing to work away and work night shift hours when required. Site work will be carried out in a marine environment therefore experience working in this type of environment will be advantageous.

Welder Fabricator
Experienced welder fabricators required for night shift work Monday – Friday, weekend work may also be available. Working on site in a marine environment will also be required. Experience of working in a marine environment is desirable but not essential. Experience of MIG and TIG welding of mild steel to a high standard is essential. Experience of fabrication equipment i.e. press brake, guillotine, hand tools etc. would be advantageous. Applicants must be able to read and interpret drawings and basic sketches. Must be able to meet deadlines, with at times minimal supervision. Must have ability to follow verbal instructions and work on own initiative.

Although we are based in Wick, most of our work is carried out elsewhere therefore all applicants must be willing to work away. Work will start in 3-4 weeks for a period of 2 months. Rate of pay negotiable.
