SENIOR HEALTH AND CARE SUPPORT WORKER (BAND 3)

BASED AT LAWSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, GOLSPIE

(Salary 17,760 - 20,727 pro-rata + additional payments for unsocial hours)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated and enthusiastic individuals who wish to apply to our enablement service, working within a multi-disciplinary team that provides care and support to patients in their own homes and other community settings. The post will be based at the Lawson Memorial Hospital, Golspie, but will cover the whole of East Sutherland.

The successful candidate will support adults with complex needs due to conditions such as learning disabilities, substance misuse, mental health issues, physical illness/disability, acquired brain injury, dementia or old age. Visiting individuals in their own homes, the focus will be on providing intensive short-term care, maximising independence, promoting enablement and recovery.

This is a part-time permanent post of 14 hours per week, covering a 7-day rota which includes working weekday and weekend unsocial hours on a split shift basis, there may also be a need for occasional night duty. A driving licence is essential for this post and a pool car will be available, however applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes, if required.
