Thread: What's in a name?

    Default What's in a name?

Having woken up to a covering of snow today and seen a gritting lorry making it's way up the A9, I was reflecting on the fact that the people of Doncaster have recently been voting to name two new lorries that are joining the South Yorkshire fleet.
The contenders were Spready Mercury and Gritsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Anti-slip Machiney and Basil Salty and David Plowie. Gritsy Bitsy was one of the winners and the two join a fleet that includes Brad Grit, Gritney Spears, The Subzero Hero, Mr Plow and Usain Salt!

Now, why can't we have something similar and what names can Caithnesians come up with? My mind's been a bit of a blank but I have faith in all of you!

And the one that, despite complaints, keeps its whereabouts secret and follows its own agenda:
