An exciting opportunity has arisen within the outstandingly beautiful counties of Caithness and Sutherland. Working as a Palliative Care Support Nurse, this development post opportunity would suit both external, and secondment candidates, working within this role across a two year period.

There will be development and educational opportunities as we work closely with partner organisations developing frameworks for education and delivery of palliative care within this area. The candidates should have both experience and interest in palliative care delivery, this post will involve; direct, patient contact, a consultative role, and an education and staff development role.

We are looking for a motivated individual who is able to work as part of a team and is seeking to develop their own skills and education in this often challenging but rewarding area of nursing.

This is a fixed term 2 year part-time post of 22.5 hours per week, to be worked flexibly, Monday to Friday, in order to meet service requirements. There may be occasional requirement for on call commitment where this is required to meet service need.

You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the Service. A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work purposes is essential.
