Nessgro Ltd, situated near Inverness, is an award-winning supplier of root vegetables to leading UK supermarkets. They are now looking to recruit a graduate to deliver a 6 month project that will involve reviewing, enhancing and integrating their current digital platforms to streamline processes. This placement may lead to a longer term role within NessGro for the successful candidate.


Nessgro currently farms over 200 hectares of fertile Scottish soil, packing and supplying potatoes as well as organic carrots to leading supermarkets such as Marks and Spencer, Morrisons and Aldi. Organic Potato Growers Ltd (OPG) shares the Dalcross site with Nessgro and is run by the same management team. Nessgro and OPG’s aim is to increase their digital presence and brand awareness to demonstrate the integrated nature of our businesses. This will benefit our existing and any prospective customers.

This position is part funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the European Regional Development Fund.


Specific tasks of the placement will include:



  • To review existing websites and social media platforms, identifying improvements, to support the development of the marketing and social media strategies.
  • To create a marketing strategy to promote the NessGro and OPG brands and product ranges.
  • To create a social media strategy, to help deliver the marketing strategy.
  • To improve our purchase ledger and payment systems and ensure existing staff are trained accordingly.


Qualifications -
Minimum undergraduate, preferably related to Marketing or Digital Content. Other subjects accepted provided the candidate has the required skills.


Essential Skills -
Experience in web design and development.
Good working knowledge of marketing and its principles.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
Understanding of social media principles.
Access to own transport.
Commitment to ensure the project is completed.


Desirable Skills -
Website coding experience.
Problem solving skills.
