    Default Sweetcorn

    Has anyone managed to grow sweetcorn, i have 12 plants i started of in the greenhouse, but not going to plant them outside till first week of june.

    Hi, Highlander

    You need to plant them in a square as they are wind pollinated. If you have 12 plants then make sure you plant them in a 3 x 4, about 18 inches apart. Firm the soil around them really well as they wind-rock very easily. Good luck with them.

    Oh, and watch out for wee teeth (mice and rats).

    we have 30 plants growing,they were started in the house and have been out now and seem to be doing ok.....but do make sure they are planted in squares for wind pollanation......Good luck...
