This role is offered at 21 hours per week, 12 month contracted position starting at the beginning of September.

Working for Caithness is an employability programme based in Wick and Thurso. We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic individual to deliver environmental / land based projects, supporting individuals to gain skills, experience, qualifications and move closer to employment.

We are looking for candidates who can combine experience in horticulture, conservation, landscaping/ land management, with experience of working with individuals with barriers to employment.

This project aims to help participants :
• Develop resilience against mental and physical health problems;
• Learn how to manage public green space and develop new skills;
• Increase their knowledge and confidence to gain and sustain employment.

Other elements of the role will include, but not be limited to -
• Health and safety management, including producing risk assessments.
• Quantifying and ordering materials in line with procurement policies.
• Managing TCV’s local resources, including the office, tools, and vehicles.
• Assisting with controlling the project budgets.
• Engaging with appropriate local groups and partners.
• Using online and offline materials to promote TCV’s work to new partners and individuals.
