Accused was armed when he called at house

A MAN with a grudge paid paid a New Year householder a visit... armed with a crowbar.
A woman opened the door and Matthew Dickson demanded to see her husband.
Dickson, 23, alleged that he had damaged his caravan and said that someone would have to pay for it, Wick Sheriff Court was told.
Dickson admitted threatening or abusive behaviour at the house in St Ola Road, Thurso, on January 2.
Fiscal Fraser Matheson said that Dickson had earlier been observed swinging the crowbar as he neared the house.
The police were informed and he was arrested at his home at 71 MacAulay View, Thurso.
Sheriff Andrew Berry who took a "serious" view of such an incident in a public place order Dickson to carry out 90 hours unpaid community work.
