    Default James Simpson, Canisbay (Shoemaker)

I'm in the middle of doing my family tree and have come across a relation who was known as "James Simpson", Parish of Canisbay, and was a Shoemaker - does anyone know anything about this gentleman as I don't seem able to trace him further. His name is on a birth certificate with no other details other than what's above.

    Thanks.

Sorry my computer has been down, many thanks for reply. Did the ruin belong to the Simpsons do you know. Dates would be approx. 1880 when he would have been a young man.

    regards
