AGM Batteries is an established business, based in Thurso Caithness, who work with clients and partners to scale new battery technologies through to manufacture. AGM are involved in several prestigious projects in various sectors including automotive and energy storage

We are currently recruiting or the following positions:


  • PROJECT MANAGER
  • Machine Setter/Operator



PROJECT MANAGER

The Project Manager has primary responsibility for leading the team to ensure objectives are defined, planned, tracked and managed during the lifecycle of the projects assigned.

Responsibilities


  • Manage delivery of projects
  • Track projects including cost to complete
  • Ensure documentation and all deliverables are completed at appropriate stages to required standard
  • Track activity against plan and provide regular reports to key stakeholders
  • Control of project budgets and resources


The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be organised with a strong planning approach and work effectively to deadlines.

Experience/Qualifications


  • Project Management qualification would be advantageous but not essential
  • 2-3 YEARS Project Management experience managing medium/large scale projects




Machine Setter/Operator

To assist with the set up and running of production machines with particular focus on our high volume Mixing Room

Duties will include:


  • Set up and running of machines ensuring quality and consistency
  • Mixing of Chemicals to specific recipes
  • Assist in all aspects of project processes including Dry Room and Product build


Experience


  • Knowledge of machine setting/operating
  • Basic understanding of industrial machinery
  • Experience of Manufacturing and its processes
  • H&S Awareness
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance and standards


An understanding of handling chemicals, COSSH awareness and risk assessment would also be advantageous but training will be given


Personal Attributes for all positions:


  • Flexible
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Packages


Good written and verbal communication is a pre-requisite
