ADVANCED PRACTICE LEAD (BAND 8A)
37.5 HOURS PER WEEK
FIXED TERM CONTRACT/SECONDMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR 9 MONTHS
SALARY: £40,428 TO £48,514 PER ANNUM
An exciting development opportunity has arisen for the role of an Advanced Practice Clinical Lead in Wick, based in Caithness General Hospital.
This post would be suited to an experienced Senior Practitioner who has experience working in unscheduled care in a hospital setting and/or community setting. A sound knowledge of the principles of effective discharge planning in a busy acute hospital, in the context of integrated health and social care environment. The post holder's key priority is to embed effective patient flow, discharge and facilitate assessment at home. The ability to lead and support continuous multi-disciplinary practice development is vital to as well as proven expertise in decision making and the ability to practice autonomously is essential.
You will be required to demonstrate excellent professional/clinical leadership and communication skills, evidence of continuing professional development and have the ability to be flexible and work within and across departments within and out with the hospital. Caithness General Hospital is currently undergoing a period of redesign and development, you will need to be prepared for unsocial hours and extended days. As this is a demanding post, a ‘can do’ attitude and a genuine flair for embedding a culture of staff development, improving clinical practice and patient flow and delivering results are sought.
This is a full time post of 37.5hrs per week and is offered on a fixed term contract/secondment for 9 months.
