I was just thinking, on my way into town today, that pot holes may be better than speed cameras and a lot cheaper too! You don't want to hit one at 70MPH so you tend to slow down (at a known pot hole) and do your best to dodge it..... the more pot holes on a road the slower you will drive as you have to negotiate your way around each pot hole and no two pot holes are the same! The worst possible pot hole is the "unknown" pot hole (a new pot hole) or travelling along a road for the first time that is riddled with pot holes..... 99.9% of the time not a real problem for a 4 wheeled vehicle but anybody travelling at speed on two wheels could end up face down in a ditch / possibly dead.

There is one REALLY annoying pot hole on my trip into town and it's a case of dodge it with skill or ram the anchors on if there is a car coming toward you in the opposite direction, it's pretty much located on a blind corner and it is a most annoying pot hole! I'm going to drive along one of these days / stop the car / put the hazard warning lights on and fire a couple of buckets of stones into it..... will probably last all of 10 minutes BUT I'll feel good doing it.

What about all the damage these get rich fast windmills have done to the roads with Police assistance when they are transporting their "green" / road destroying eyesores to a scenic place near you? If they can afford a Police escort they can also afford a bit of tar to be laid on the roads they are totally destroying?
