    Default Wick Hogmanay Street Party

    Thanks to the HAPPY Committee for organising the New Year Street Party. We were so lucky with the break in the weather. Kirk Lane provides a sheltered location Great night had by all (probably 1300ish folk there). Local band Penny Lane were excellent. D Steven provided the truck for the stage, GMR Henderson the crowd barriers and wagon for the sound man ( cheers Logan ! ) AR Ross Plant Hire for the Generator and John O Groat Journal for advertisement. Highland Council for keeping the Whitechapel Rd toilets open. Stewards & Police Scotland provided a discreet presence which ensured all the revellers had a great time.
