Wick High School Open Day 10th Dec.

May I be the first (on the Org !) to compliment all who were involved in making the "last" open day of Wick High School such a success !!

The lovely welcome we received at the door with information and also a wee map of where to go and what each room provided with nostalgia, was extremely welcoming.

Obviously this had been a very well thought out venture,
with many videos, photographs and (I must admit to this being one of my favourites)
still able to "read" the inscriptions on the desks by pupils long ago . . .

The "nibbles" were, although, "just" sausage rolls, were the very best I have ever tasted and I'm disappointed to have missed out on the carrot and coriander soup being served in the "crush hall" Biscuits, tea and coffee were also served and the only cost was a simple donation ! WOW !

Having been a pupil of Wick High, many, many moons ago, I must admit to it being quite sad to think I'll never see those classrooms again (good and bad, lol !!!)
