Thread: Slugs!!

  1. #1

    Default Slugs!!

How can I get rid of or control slugs in my garden??? They are devouring my hostas and other plants. I DONOT want to use insecticide pellets as my blackies eat them or they did last year seem to have disappeared now. Thanks.

Sharp sand around plants, they don't like to move over anything dry and scratchy! Coffee grounds, crushed eggshells also worth a try.

coffee grinds or tealeaves (open old teabags), dried crushed egg shells, hedgehogs, hens, beer, ducks, you could also do a search on here as there was an enquiry about 9 months ago about this and there was quite a few answers to it.

Beer traps are really effective, but you have to empty them regularly or they smell really awful!
