Tests revealed accused had taken a variety of drugs

Wick Sheriff Court heard today about a driver's unusual demeanour when he was stopped by police.
Michael Cannop's eyes were glazed, his pupils were "pin-points" in size and he was unsteady on his feet.
A roadside breath test carried out by officers in Janet Street, Thurso, proved negative but further tests revealed that Cannop had variety of drugs in his system.
Cannop,40, of 17 Claredon Place, Thurso, admitted driving his van while unfit through drugs, on August 14, last year, and a record.
Sentence was deferred until April 1 for a background report and the accused is meantime subject to an interim driving ban.
