    Accused alleged to have stolen £350 and other items

    A YOUNG Perthshire man is to stand trial on a charge of theft by house-breaking in Caithness..

    Martin Budge, 22, pleaded not guilty when he appeared on indictment at Wick Sheriff Court today.


    The charge alleges that he broke into a house in Henderson Street, Thurso, on April 4, last year and stole £350 and items including a television, an X-box, 360 and a number of DvDs.

    Budge, of 1 Toutie Street, Alyth, Blairgowrie, will return to court for his trial on April 26.
