Police station search revealed blade Wick court hears

A MAN, who called at Wick police station for assistance, was found to be carrying a knife.
Gary Bell, 30, had requested help with some paperwork on June 12, last year, but officers were suspicious about his demeanour, searched him and found the lockable folding knife.
Bell , of 2 Calder Square, Castletown village, told police he was a fisherman and used the blade for his work. He pleaded guilty to having the knife in Bankhead Road, Wick, and at the police station nearby. The accused was on bail at the time.
Sentence was deferred until March 18 for a background report.
