Accused told constable he would "stove his head in"

A Wick man, who threatened a police officer after being arrested, has been jailed for four months at the town's sheriff court.


John Glover, 46, admitted threatening to "stove the constable's head in" when he encountered him off duty.

It happened in a police vehicle taking him to Thurso police station after he was caught breaching a non-harassment order by calling at his ex-partner's home in the town, on February 6..

Glover, of 9 Cairndhuna Terrace, Wick, also admitted the breach.. His jail term was backdated to February 8 when he was arrested.
