Thurso man admits cannabis resin charge

A THURSO man has admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis resin.

Jamie Lee Lewis, 27, appeared on indictment, from custody at Wick Sheriff Court, yesterday and will be sentenced next month.

The court heard that he was a drug user at the time and had sold on the balance of the resin, surplus to his requirements.

Lewis, of 2 Riverside Terrace, Thurso, was said to have been drug free since the offence, which occurred between July 1 and August 16, 2012.

He will be sentenced on February 5 after Sheriff Andrew Berry considers a background report on the accused who has an extensive record..
