Storm damage at Wick harbour breakwater & history of the harbour

I was interested to read on Caithness.org about the damage to the Wick harbour breakwater and had a look myself today. I was impressed with the wee storm hitting the breakwater today, it must have been spectacular during Storm Frank.



After downloading the pictures from my camera I looked online to find out about the history of the breakwater at Wick harbour and to learn more about the one that was washed away in the 1870's and discovered a fascinating article about it on Engineering timelines website - worth a read Link to website
