Munro from Houstry in Chilean tsunami
The eldest son, John, of James Munro Houstry, followed his two shepherding MacPherson uncles to Argentina. After he started a family there, he moved to Chile. One of these married and settled farming in Tolten, a small town on a river near the coast.
In 1960 the town and area was inundated by a tsunami wave after an earthquake at sea.
