Went to visit the old church today, and there was one gravestone i found very interesting, can anyone please tell me about it, like the coat of arms on it, this stone must have been special because it was behind the iron gates
Is that associated with the Knights Templar Fred?
'Cause if my eyes don't deceive me,
There's something going wrong around here
No more than any other Sinclair I wouldn't think. The first Sinclair of Freswick got the title in 1661 somewhat after the Templers were "disbanded", they were descended from the Sinclairs of Greenland and Rattar. Their coat of arms were ship at anchor, lion rampant, lion rampant, ship under sail registered by James, the second Sinclair of Freswick.
You can read all about them on my web site http://www.graven-images.org.uk/library/lib.htm just click on the Sinclairs of Freswick.
