One I've just come across on my hard disk which always makes me a little wistful and teary-eyed is something that no-one here has probably heard of (I'm Taurus, born awkward), le chanson des vieux amants - Jacques Brel (The song about the old lovers). It's dreamy and melancholy and Brel's rather Sinatra-like voice floats over the meandering piano. Makes me imagine an elderly couple walking arm in arm along a seafront with the sprightly old man suddenly springing a sneaky kiss on his lady and her having a gentle smile. 'Angels' by Sarah Mclachlan makes me feel both happy and sad at the same time.
'Lovely day' (can't remember singers name) reminds me of teenage years getting ready to go the local miners welfare disco and boogying round the handbags.
